Last week a covenant was signed between the Netherlands Aerospace Group (NAG) and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs in order to establish a business support program for the UAE and Oman. The “Gulf Tulip” Partners in Business program is aimed at supporting selected Dutch companies in doing business in the booming aerospace and airports markets in the UAE and Oman. It is a joint program of Dutch ministries, local Dutch embassies, Netherlands Enterprise Agency and private companies from the Aerospace and Airports sector.

A three year program named “Gulf Tulip” has now been drafted, which includes joint representation at trade shows, the organisation of seminars and workshops (knowledge exchange on Airport and Aviation topics) and both incoming and outgoing trade missions. Furthermore, dedicated liaisons will be stationed at the local embassies in the UAE and Oman to keep in touch with government agencies, airlines, airports and representatives of the aviation and developing space industry.

We are very excited to be selected as a partner to the program and expect to become even more active in the region, especially in supporting airline and airport management to further develop their business at the fast growing airports in the region. We hope to meet new and existing customers either at one of the proposed events or more dedicated at their offices to learn about the requirements they have, both strategically as well as in their daily business.
